From September 20th to 24th, 2015, Tieling Mayor Sun Yi led an economic and trade delegation and a management team led by HPMM Chairman Wang Zhengquan to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to visit Swan Mountain on-site coal gasification of the fuel company, negotiated and promoted further cooperation between HPMM and Swan Mountain Company.

HPMM intended to cooperate with the Canadian Swan Mountain Synthetic Fuel Company to jointly develop the Guyushu coal field project in Changtu County, using the world-class deep-seated coal gasification knowledge and operating experience possessed by the Swan Mountain Company. The on-site coal gasification project of the two companies was to convert low-cost energy into high-value clean energy products. This technology is in a leading position in the world and has the advantages of less damage to the environment and substantial cost reduction. The two parties had held many meetings and consultations on this cooperation. HPMM Group had visited Canada several times, and Canada’s party had also visited Tieling many times to meet and negotiate. Finally, the two sides signed a memorandum of cooperation in Houston, Texas, USA in March 2015 to confirm the intention of cooperation between the two parties.

Due to the short travel time and heavy tasks, on September 21th, the Chinese delegation had a meeting and negotiation with the Canadian side immediately after getting off the plane, regardless of the time difference. The Chinese delegation met with Swan Mountain Synthetic Fuel Company Chairman Doug Shagke and other directors, as well as representatives of investment bank Raymond James. Dr. Jiang Wenran, Chairman of Wenya Group, presided over the meeting. Both parties first gave a staff introduction and Mayor Sun Yi delivered a speech. Mayor Sun Yi said that China is deepening reforms in an all-round way, actively encouraging companies to go global and conducting all-round cooperation and exchanges with companies around the world. Tieling has a vast territory, rich resources and convenient transportation. In particular, Changtu County has a population of one million, rich natural resources, and promising prospects for cooperative development. HPMM Group is one of China's top 50 drilling equipment manufacturers. Through this project, it hopes to create a successful example for Tieling enterprises to go global, and inject new ideas and new impetus into the development of Tieling. The Tieling Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government will do their best to provide services, accelerate the progress of the project, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results for both parties. Mayor Sun Yi’s speech showed the Tieling Municipal Government’s great support for the HPMM coal gasification project and gave us great encouragement.

The Swan Mountain coal mine is surprisingly similar to the Tieling coal mine in terms of reserves, depth, and geological structure. The chairman of the Swan Mountain Company jokingly called the two coal mines twins. They have successfully applied in-situ coal gasification technology to coal development. Our HPMM Group introduced equipment to Swan Mountain, and Swan Mountain Company applied advanced technology to Tieling City. Both parties can complement each other's advantages and jointly fight a win-win battle.

On September 22th, the delegation inspected the injection wells and production wells of the on-site coal gasification site in Swan Mountain. It was a long journey, it took three hours to drive, and the weather was very cold. The temperature of the day was about 1 degree Celsius. But after seeing the gas-burning chimney produced at the scene, everyone was excited and hoped that the burning chimney was right standing on the coal mine in Tieling. Afterwards, the Mayor of Whitecourt City, Marian Shahik, and the Mayor of Woodland County, Mr. Jim Lenny, warmly received the Chinese delegation and discussed the areas of cooperation between the two parties.

On September 23th, the delegation returned to China via Vancouver and ended the 5-day on-site inspection. Mayor Sun Yi and Chairman Wang Zhengquan were very satisfied with this inspection, and both parties would discuss in detail on the next step of cooperation.

This trip was an inspection project led by the mayor, but to a certain extent, it was also a high-demand, high-standard and very strict reception work for our Wolf company. As the travel dates of government personnel were constantly changing, the preparatory work lasted for half a year, and the heart also hanged for half a year. In order to have a better and higher reception standard, Mr. Yao took Yu Zhengyang and Yue Bin to Canada two days in advance to make preparations, and set up the meeting site and field inspection site. When our late personnel left the airport, the "previous troops" in suits stood in a row and picked up fresh flowers. The exciting scene suddenly wiped out the exhaustion of flying for nearly 20 hours. From beginning to end, the entire reception work was flawless. Li Xiao, a government entourage, told Mr. Yao many times that our team was really strong. In fact, I wanted to say that as long as we unite and move forward courageously, our team will create even greater miracles!
